The Fine Art Diploma program offers students comprehensive exposure to the various techniques within the discipline. Throughout the course, students have the chance to explore a diverse range of materials, skills, forms, and techniques, providing a strong foundation for their future endeavors in art-related careers.

A profound understanding of art history and contemporary art is integrated into the curriculum, enriching students’ appreciation of local and regional cultures. The program fosters creative thinking, urging students to adopt a professional artist’s mindset. Specialization opportunities exist in diverse media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, modeling, and carving. Additionally, students partake in exhibitions, seminars, practical workshops, and art dialogues facilitated by both local and international artists and lecturers.

Entry Requirements

Malaysian Student

Must pass in SPM / UEC / IGCSE/ ‘O’ level with 3 credits; OR

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 and SPM (1 credit); OR

Other equivalent qualifications approved by MOHE.

International Student

Please refer to “List of Entry Qualifications for International Student”; AND

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) A competitive score is 4.0 or higher

ART TALENT AWARD 2025

Equator College Art Talent Study Award is to award to deserving art talented Malaysians to pursue their higher education at Equator College’s art and design Diploma programs, namely Diploma in Graphic Intermedia Design, Diploma in Digital 3D Animation, Diploma in Interior Design, Diploma in Architectural Technology, Diploma in Fashion Design Technology, and Diploma in Fine Art.

  • Eligibility
  • Open to all SPM, UEC and IGCSE leavers.
  • Malaysian citizens not more than 21 years old
  • Applicant has to prepare and submit three (3) A4-sized Artworks
  • Outstanding students with involvement in art competitions during high school.
    Art / Media/ Design competition awards won during high school (with proof)
  • A recommendation letter from high school (either from School Principal, School Counsellor or School Art Teacher)
  • Applicants MUST courier / send by Pos Laju or by hand the printed copy of the application forms together with
    supporting documents to the Equator College’s Leith Street campus on or before 30th June 2025
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
